Der fortælles om Tvilum Kirke, at hvad der byggedes om Dagen, blev revet ned om Natten, og til sidst fik de det Raad at koble to røde Stude sammen og lade dem gaa, og hvor de saa laa næste Morgen, skulde Kirken bygges. Studene blev fundne nede i et Morads, og det er Grunden til, at Kirken ligger saa lavt.
