Der boede en gammel Kone paa Kraghede, de kaldte Gaase- Melle, og hun gik omkring om Foraaret og tog Tippen af Hønsenes Tunge, og saa klippede hun et Kors i den højre Vinge, saa kunde Heg- sene ikke tage Æggene. Men Kokken gjorde hun ikke noget ved. Hun havde en bitte Kniv at skjære den af med, og hun læste ogsaa noget ved sig selv, imens hun gjorde det. Ørum S., Dronninglund H.
