Næste års høstfolk var altid fæstede för jul, og de spiste da altid jule- nytårs- og helligtrekongersnadver (natowei i den gård. hvor de skulde hjælpe at høste, og hver af disse tre aftener, når de gik hjem, fik de skiver at tage med sig hjem. Disse bestod af en skive af hver slags lu-od. som var bagt til julen, og hver skive var på omtrent to tommers tykkelse, samt en skive ost af samme tykkelse. Samso. Mikkel Sörensen.
